Gig Review: “MayFarewell” ft. Mayfare / Heidi Curtis / Static Blue

I’d heard decent things about this young lass from North Shields and she vastly exceeded the hype. She threw an abundance of energy into every track, pairing jaunty, upbeat guitar work with a vocal range that others of her ilk would turn a shade of green for. The faster songs caused the ubiquitous Cluny circle pit to form, with ‘Baby Blue’ being a particular highlight that stirred up the young crowd.
I knew by the end of the set that I had witnessed someone to look out for in the future.

SpotlightUK - Gig Review: Think Tank

Heidi Curtis well and truly stole the show. They are quite simply a band that is better than words, nothing I write will ever quite bring across what it feels like to watch them perform. The mixture of excitement, awe and pride of seeing young talent blossom. Thanks to Heidi’s catchy tunes, by the time headliner Patawawa took the stage, the crowd was all warmed up and ready to dance.
